More than 200 students, faculty and industry leaders were on hand for the second major event in conjunction with the IMS competition. At the event, a variety of guest sepakers shared their IMS knowledge and more details on the IMS compeition were also shared with those in attendance.

April 25th, 2006 Event
On April 25 2006, Siemens, Cingular and Georgia Tech kicked off the IMS Competition at the school's downtown Atlanta campus. Students signed up for the competition, which provided access to multi-million dollar lab equipment for IMS Mobile applications development.
